Dr. Rupert Keim
Dr. Rupert Keim, LL.M. (L.S.E., London) is Managing Partner of Karl & Faber Art Auctions. He completed his studies in law and his legal traineeship in Munich, Brussels, London and New York. After gaining admission to the bar in 1999, he took over the Karl & Faber art auction company in Munich in 2003, where he has been active both in management of the firm and as a publically appointed and sworn auctioneer since 2009. Between 2010 and 2016 Dr. Keim has held tenure at the Faculty of History and Art at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. From 2016 he has also been president of the Association of German Art Auctioneers e.V., a curator-member of the board of trustees of the Haus der Kunst and second chairman of the Friends of the Central Institute for Art History, CONIVNCTA FLORESCIT. Since 2017 Dr. Keim has been on the Committee for Cultural Works and Archives of the Free State of Bavaria.
